The red colors of the sky mixed well with the sun, which was setting just beyond the peak of the mountain and the laugh of the small children was just enough to make my tail wag happily. I loved my humans, probably more then anyone could imagine. And I knew I would never let anything happen to them, for I would do anything to stay with them forever. But I had no idea how hard it was for me to promise that.

Case One; March 21, 2031 at 10:59am. Several scratches across the body with strange almost Arabic looking writing along arms. More then usual loss of blood discovered. After being rushed to a local hospital, Peter Cline died while having blood tests done. As reported by the doctor after the autopsy, he stated that Peters scratch marks on his body were afflicted from his self. Investigating further into this odd scene, from the looks of his blood shot eyes and his bloody nails, it was obviously Peter who had caused his own death.
Case Two; March 25, 2031 at 12:00am. Large bite marks on left arm, possibly self inflicted. Not deep enough to draw blood, but still bleeding. Large amount of blood loss and quite delusional, blood shot eyes and drowsy. Taken to the hospital and passed away while getting help with blood tests. Investigating further, Steven King had the same "disease" as Peter Carmen, which was transfered through the air.

At this time, most of the people in the fourty mile radius fled the city, looking for a town were flesh ripping disease wasn't ceasing the area. And the hospital. This disease was so contagious, that most of the doctors and patients residing this hospital had caught it too. Luckily, most dogs were immune to this threatening disease, although most people left them at home, thinking that they only had to leave for about one night. they were wrong.

Disease has swept the nation, and it's pretty hard to walk around and not find people lying on the ground, scratches on their body while there eyes are blood shot. Its quite easy to live as a dog though, since most of them were immune to the disease, its pretty much like they're ruling the town.

Don't believe me? Look around, listen, do you still hear their happy laughs, their screams? There gone, gone for good.

Dogs have always been one of the most common pets in the Human world. You could understand dogs and you could tell when they were happy. A lot of them had a soft face and a gentle heart. Humans would love to say things or make faces or make funny noises at the four legged creatures to make them feel good. Dogs would sit there, wagging there tail, and always look like they were grinning because they were panting. Is that the only reason why humans loved their dogs? No. There were many more reasons behind the whole 'love' and 'bond' between your pets. They became your sister, brother, mother, father, friend, and even best friend. They became a part of you. They could fill in a spot of a loved one that either left you or died. They filled in that empty part in your heart. They make your heart melt and become soft when really you are a cold hearted person. Dogs do many wonders, wonders that you don't think of on a daily basis.

There's this dog that is always roaming around my house. He seems very aggressive. Please stop by to get him, he's a danger to society. Thanks!

We'll stop by your house today. The dog will be with us for two days. After the two days and no one claims or adopts him, we'll put him to sleep. Thanks for writing.

The Pound

What was the real reason why this dog was aggressive? Was it just because he hated humans? Or was there a whole different reason for his hatred? Well, here's a quick summary of what happened to this dog after he was taken to the pound.

My name is Romeo, and yes, I was the dog that was taken to the pound. They treated me badly, and I would rather be in hell than that place. A day came when one of the idiotic guards came to take me out. They knew I was aggressive, but they made it into a joke ... a dare. So the guy took me outside, and as soon as he did that, I bit his arm and he let go of the leash. Once I was released, I took off running and never looked back. You see, the pound isn't a place for dogs. They don't feed you, and only give you a little bit of water. They beat you until you are unable to move. And then, those two days fly by and you die. What way to get a "second chance"? Well, I'm still living ... luckily. And I'm one of The Forgotten. Join me and the other Forgotten canines!
