Muscles bulged and tail swayed. Brilliant colors filled the sky, dirty clouds emphasizing the wonders of the setting sun. The lion's massive frame casting shadows upon the dry earth beneath him. Looking upward, his mouth parted into a toothed smile. The sun and moon shared a place in the same sky. His heart paced faster, and he ceased his movement. The wonderful sight above him, was a welcoming sign into his new life as light King. The maker of day, and the symbol of night, coincided in peace above him. The colors of day, and the darkness of night swirled together in the sky, causing serenity throughout him.
As his eyes stared into space, his mind wandered.
Although he was now King, he felt so out of place. He'd yet to meet a fellow light, this vast world filled with Dark lions and their violent hearts. Hearts? Yes, hearts. Although so many claim to exsist without one, he knows a heart resides behind the ribcage in every lion's chest. Apparently some of those cages(and perhaps thick heads) are dense enough to allow the suppression of their conscience, and allows their ferocious nature to exist instead. Since he was a cub, he's dreamt of the day whaen the hearts of lights and yes, hearts of the darks, could live together without compromising nature or nurture, or instincts of protection and strictly survival. The swirling colors could someday exist on this angry planet, just as they did in the air above him.
Tybalt shook his head. His thoughts returned to him, and he continued on his way. His toothed smile static on his face and he explored his new terra.
He longed for company. What good was a land to call your own, without anyone to share it with? The moment of first light, he decided, he'll search for someone to call a friend. Perhaps an ally, or a potential pride member. Or possibly neither. Enemies were welcome too. It was always interesting to explore others' perceptions. If they despised him, it interested him even more. Although those meetings usually caused tension, he feared nothing. His massive size could win any fight, despite his distaste of violence and lack of anger.
Muscles bulged and tail swayed once more. Only with more warmth and intent this time.
